CYP3A gene variability and cancer cells response to the treatment

چکیده

The treatment of cancer depends on the activity cytochrome P450 enzyme family, which is essentially carried out by CYP3A4 and CYP3A5 enzymes. aim our study was to investigate whether polymorphism could contribute protein their influence response cells treatment. variability cDNA profiles between cell lines parental HT-29 resistant HT-29-OxR adenocarcinoma detected using denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis (DGGE). Subsequently, sequence analysis CYP3A family members (CYP3A4, CYP3A5) confirmed gene in studied lines. Variations at expression level, level 12 were observed, also different drug treatments line oxaliplatin-resistant HT-29-OxR. might affect efficiency anti-cancer drugs general have an impact metabolism.

Differential Gene-Expression of Metallothionein 1M and 1G in Response to Zinc in Sertoli TM4 Cells

Background: Zinc (Zn) as an important trace element is essential for testicular development and spermatogenesis. Molecular mechanism of Zn action in the reproductive system may be related to metal binding low-molecular weight proteins, metallothioneins (MT). Our objective was to determine the effect of Zn on two important isoforms of MT, MT1M and MT1G genes expression on testicular sertoli cell...

The Role of chk2 in Response to DNA Damage in Cancer Cells

Accumulation of gene changes and chromosomal instability in response to cellular DNA damage lead to cancer. DNA damage induces cell cycle checkpoints pathways. Checkpoints regulate DNA replication and cell cycle progression, chromatin restructuring, and apoptosis. Checkpoint kinase 2 (chk2) is activated in response to DNA lesions. ATM phosphorylate chk2. The activated Chk2 kinase can phosphoryl...

Colon Cancer Cells Gene Expression Signature As Response to 5- Fluorouracil, Oxaliplatin, and Folinic Acid Treatment

5-FU cytotoxicity mechanism has been assigned both to the miss-incorporation of fluoronucleotides into RNA and DNA and to the inhibition of thymidylate synthase. 5-FU is one of the most widely used chemotherapeutic drugs, although it has severe side effects that may vary between patients. Pharmacogenetic studies related to 5-FU have been traditionally focused on the rate-limiting catabolic enzy...

Variability in response to antihypertensive drug treatment.

One of the definitions of the word pragmatic is “practical as opposed to idealistic.” Many of the controversies regarding the issue of the use of race to any degree whatsoever in medical decision-making may be more of a result of tensions between pragmatic and idealistic positions on the issue. The biological determinants of human intraarterial pressure are such that there is no precise cutpoin...
